Improve Subrogation & Recovery

INDUSTRY: INSURANCE

Objective: Improve Subrogation & Recovery

Claims subrogation and recovery enables insurance companies to recover some percentage of claims paid by recovering claims from third parties. Operari’s client sought to increase the success rate of subrogation and recovery rates and deliver significant improvement to the bottom line. The company set out to accomplish two things: increase success rates by almost 10 percent and create efficient and scalable subrogation processes.

Solution: Migrate to New System, Inspire Culture of Improvement

The Operari Group established a four-phase plan to conduct an assessment, develop an execution strategy, deliver the solutions and transition the knowledge to the client:

  1. Assess current state processes and put baseline measurement capabilities in place against them. This provided the information we needed to measure improvements over time.
  2. Define future state processes and the technology changes necessary to execute them.
  3. Over a six-month period of time, migrate current state processes to the new systems.
  4. Help the client create a culture of continuous improvement. Once a steady state had been reached, Operari handed off all project documentation to internal client resources.
